In November 2024, a Bronze Statue was made as a tribute to one of the greatest Punjabi Poets of our time, Dr Surjit Patar, who sadly departed this world on 11th May 2024. His Cousin brother, Deedar Singh Pardesi had a very close bond as they were born in the same small house in the village of Pattar Kalan. Deedar Singh Pardesi recollects his fond memories of Surjit Patar to share with you all. We are grateful to Mr Baldev Singh Grewal for taking the effort to arrange the Bronze Statue that is now placed at the Helena Birds Natural Park in Jnaurhi, Hoshiarpur, Punjab, India.
