Back in January several large fires broke out in Los Angeles county during a major Santa Ana Wind event. This was one of the smaller ones at nearly 800 acres and is suspected to have been caused by equipment failure.
I left the raw audio on so you can hear the wind - it was so strong I was bracing myself against it and having to support my camera on the tripod so it didn't crash to the ground. The night clips were from the night it started and the lone day clip was the status of it the following morning. After that it was no longer putting off smoke but still smoldering in areas I wasn't able to see from this vantage point.
All the videos you'll see from me of these fires were taken from a safe distance away and well out of the way of first responders working to put out the flames.
