The Sarus Crane, with its large, tall body, gray color, red head, gray-headed, hairless beak, and long, red toed feet and long, straight beak, is the tallest bird and can fly, but it cannot perch on tree branches. The crane feeds in flocks and its food includes crabs, frogs, fishes, rice grains, etc. It likes to feed in rice fields, especially in swamps, floodplains, and forested grasslands. The crane breeds from May to October in the northern and northeastern parts of Cambodia, especially in Preah Vihear province, with 1 to 4 eggs. The crane is an endangered species.
