Our glorious historic Dutch Barge Onderneming was built in 1899 so occasionally needs a bit of tender love and care.

When we bought our Dutch barge Onderneming, we knew that one day we would have to move it for maintenance. But little did we know that the process of moving a barge from Snape Maltings to the Lowestoft via the North Sea is not as simple as one might think! Romantic dog friendly Barns, Cottages and moored Dutch Barges in Suffolk, plus a hillside retreat for two in Tuscany. Most Barns have private hot tubs, all have enclosed gardens, and there’s a large secure meadow for dogs.

The Barges are in two well known Suffolk waterside locations with easy walks, shops and dog friendly pubs. We welcome up to three dogs and have thousands of Five Star reviews on Tripadvisor, Facebook and Google.

The Tuscan home overlooks Lucca with an enclosed terrace and simple access from Pisa airport. All properties are set up as quiet, comfortable bases for couples, families or friends who want space and privacy.
