DIY Install: RV Solar Panel on 5th wheel roof

There are different ways to install solar panels. We chose to use Unistrut for ours, so if we ever wanted to change out, adjust, or remove the panels, we wouldn’t have to worry about resealing the roof.

We have the Point Zero Energy Titan 240SP power station and 2400 watts of solar panels. Our 50 AMP RV power cord plugs directly into the power station that is attached to four 2000-watt-hour stackable NMC batteries. This setup can power our entire 5th wheel, including running two A/C units.

The entire system is portable and can be removed from our trailer in a matter of minutes and with the way we installed the solar panels, those can also be relocated without damaging our trailer.
