On 4 November 2017, Penang was unfortunate to be hit not just by the Damrey typhoon that hit Vietnam but unexpected fierce 40mph winds that had never seen before in Malaysia.
The extreme weather conditions has caused many landslides, rockfalls, fallen trees and branches along the railway track, jeep track and also on the summit area.
Thanks to the many heroes behind the scenes who have helped in recovering Penang Hill day and night for more than 30 days. Penang Hill was reopened on 30 December 2017.
This short documentary tells the story.
