Please Note :- The Immigration process for citizens of India, Bangladesh and Maldives has changed after July 1, 2020; as the Govt. of Bhutan has decided to charge a Sustainable Development Fee of Rs 1200/- per head per day from citizens of these countries. Therefore, a trip to Bhutan has become costlier :(

Despite being the most modern city in Bhutan, Thimphu still retains its cultural identity and values and also attracts visitors with its picturesque natural setting. It is home to approximately 100,000 inhabitants including the Royal family.
