Has our bee colony been exposed to pesticides / poisoned

We noticed a high number of dead bees (compared to normal) and also paralysed bees at the hive entrance for a 3 day period. A high proportion of these bees had their tongues fully extended and we think that this could be due to the bees foraging somewhere that has been treated with chemicals (insecticide, pesticides, or weed killers). A neighbour mentioned that they had sprayed their apple tree for greenfly treatment however we are sure the treatment of one local tree probably wasn't the cause, but we should perhaps all be trying to use non chemical treatments wherever possible. There was also a rain shower which might have helped, as things seemed to stabilise shortly after. The colony did swarm a few days later.........we are sure this was not linked though as we were planning swarm control measures already. A nice short video clip of the swarm is at the end of the video.
