● During the recent kunoschaer.ch track day at Monza circuit, I was lucky enough to get a closer look at the 2018 Mercedes-AMG C63 DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters) racecar. This beast uses a monocoque chassis similar to that used in F1 and has carbon fibre body panels to match the rough shape of the C63, but that is where any kind of similarities to the road-going version end. The car is powered by a naturally-aspirated 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces around 483hp and 500Nm of torque. The engine utilized indirect fuel injection and had air restrictors mandated by DTM regulations.
