Tao Atmospheres, 1988 (1992 reissue with alternative cover art)
this mysterious project from Montreal, QC has been already featured on the almighty SotD @soundsofthedawn and is quite known among new age diggers for its deep drone sound which normally lasts the whole tape side, usually blended with nature sounds. Tao Atmospheres is actually not an artist name, but a label, which has only released 7 albums in "Genesonics" series (one per chakra), and hence artist(s) have decided to remain anonymous, these 7 tapes usually go under Tao Atmospheres name. my lowkey research shows that it could've been a husband & wife couple who're still running some sort of design bureau in the Montreal's old town but there's just too little information to claim anything for certain. in any case, the music of Genesonics is simply amazing, far ahead of its time in terms of radical droning without going into too much hassle and cheesiness. i put their tapes right next to K. Wiese, M. Grassow and Dr. Jeffrey Thompson on my shelf.

this is 1992 version and it has a bit different sound, can't tell it's remastered, sound a bit less compressed, more spacey.
