prahlādāhlāda-dāyine
hiraṇyakaśipor vakṣaḥ
śilā-ṭańka-nakhālaye

I offer my obeisances to Lord Narasimha, who gives joy to Prahlada Maharaja and whose nails are like chisels on the stone-like chest of the demon Hiranyakasipu.

yato yato yāmi tato naṛasiḿhaḥ
bahir naṛasiḿho hṛdaye naṛasiḿha
naṛasiḿham ādiḿ śaraṇaḿ prapadye

Lord Narasimha is here and also there. Wherever I go, Lord Narasimha is there. He is in the heart and is outside as well. I surrender to Lord Narasimha, the origin of all things and the supreme refuge.

tava kara-kamala-vare nakham adbhuta-śṛńgaḿ
dalita-hiraṇyakaśipu-tanu-bhṛńgam
keśava dhṛta-narahari-rūpa jaya jagadīśa hare

O Keshava! O Lord of the universe! O Lord Hari, who have assumed the form of half-man, half-lion, All glories to You! Just as one can easily crush a wasp between one's fingernails, so in the same way, the body of the wasp-like demon Hiranyakasipu has been ripped apart by the wonderful pointed nails on Your beautiful lotus hands.

His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Founder-Acharya of ISKCON, introduced this prayer to be sung by devotees in all ISKCON temples on August 2, 1970, in Los Angeles.

A great demon Hiranyakashipu had been granted a boon by Lord Brahma that made him invincible to death in the air, water, or land. He could not be killed by any weapons, humans, or animals in the day or at night. Despite Prahlada Maharaja being his son, he tormented him simply because Prahlada was a devotee of Lord Vishnu. However, the Supreme Lord Vishnu appeared in the form of a half-man, half-lion from a pillar during twilight and fulfilled all the conditions by killing the demon on the threshold.

Sri Sri Prahlada Narasimha have been blessing numerous devotees on Hare Krishna Hill since 1997.
The original name of the Deity is Sri Prahlada Paripalaka Narasimha, which means Narasimha who provides shelter to Prahlada. Devotees pray to Lord Narasimha for protection from all dangers and any obstacles on the path of devotional service. Every Saturday, a panchamrita abhisheka is performed, and the Lord is adorned in a new alankara.

Sri Narasimha Chaturdashi is celebrated in many temples across India to commemorate the appearance of Lord Narasimha.

Namaste Narasimhaya is a powerful and soul-stirring arati song dedicated to Lord Narasimha. This video features a beautiful rendition of the song accompanied by mesmerizing visuals of Lord Narasimha and his various manifestations.
