Visiting China's traditional communal homes | Fujian Hakka Tulou

In this video we travel to rural Fujian, China, to explore the famous tulous. These are massive traditional fortified communal buildings built of thick rammed earth walls and are a true architectural marble, typical to this area. They can house up to 800 people in one building, generally consisting of one family clan. These buildings have become famous because of them featuring in movies like Mulan, Big Fish and Begonia, Kong Fu Panda etc.
