Past Tense by Lee Child

2.5 stars. This book has a highly bizarre plot and there's so much description that it's actually quite exhausting. I think it tends to take our hero Jack Reacher about 3 or 4 pages to brush his hair and I did wish he would just get on with it. I actually did start off liking Reacher but he's just so perfect and such a super-hero in any situation he experiences that I quickly became bored with him. The plot with Patty & Shorty is one I'm sure was very popular in the 1970s, so I skipped over those sections. That said, Patty is a wonderful character, and indeed the only one I liked. I just wish she had a different plot and a different author to write her obviously fascinating story. Not recommended.
