Abstract: In this talk, I will relate Aquinas’s view of faith to contemporary perspectives in analytic philosophy about epistemic justification and the epistemological status of testimony. The main question I will address is how we can be justified in believing things on the basis of divine testimony, mediated through Scripture and Tradition.
The lecture was hosted by the Thomistic Institute, Oxford.
