在荃灣的山腰，有著一個寧靜惬意的公共屋邨，它的格局仍保留著舊時的雙塔式設計，商場內全是年代久遠的小店，且還能找到市面上的港式快餐店，踏進仿如時光倒流。

象山邨前身為象山寮屋區，其後清折，改建成公共屋邨，於1978年至1979年間入伙，並只有三棟樓宇。這些單位均配置浴缸，在70年代時可算是豪華的住宿。大廈的天井在每年的中秋也會掛掛起燈籠陣，吸引不少「龍友」到場拍攝。這項傳統據聞由一位男居民發起，他的妻子曾在過往的某個中秋節讚揚頂樓的燈籠美麗，為了取悅妻子，每年風雨不改在秀山樓井字型天井掛起一個又一個的燈籠。

商場內大多為士多、海味舖、藥材舖、港式麵包舖等懷舊小店，招牌均為白底紅字，看著舖內售賣的東西，猶如回溯當時。在這裡，你更可找到在香港已賣少見少的港式快餐店，「象山快餐店」內的螢光汁飯大概會讓不少人勾起了童年記憶。

屋邨內的公共空間甚多卻人煙稀少，隱隱帶著靜謐的氣氛，不失為攝影愛好者的流連之地。

【A good place for photography: Cheung Shan Estate built in 70s】

On the hill of Tsuen Wan, the public housing estate “Cheung Shan Estate” retains the design of twin-tower design. The shopping mall is full of small shops with a long history and you can still find a Hong Kong-style fast food restaurant here. It’s like stepping back in time.

The estate is built in 70s and consists of only three buildings. These units are all equipped with bathtubs, which were considered luxury accommodation at that time. Lanterns are hung throughout the courtyard of the building every Mid-Autumn Festival, attracting tons of photographers to take pictures here.

Nostalgic shops such as corner shops, dried seafood shops, herbal shops are found in the shopping mall. The Hong Kong-style fast food sold in Cheung Shan Fast Food Restaurant may bring back childhood memories for local people.

With its unique features, Cheung Shan Estate can be regarded as a place for photography lovers to linger.
