Temple receives offering of Rs 44 lakh in 500, 1,000 notes - ANI News

Vellore (TN), Nov 14 (ANI): A famous temple in Tamil Nadu's Vellore city received an offering of Rs. 44 lakh in 500 and 1,000 rupee notes, days after the central government scrapped them in an effort to crack down on black money and corruption. The amount had sent a shock to the temple authorities as it is the highest donation this temple has received ever.
