Hi My Name is Luke Clebsch, and thank you for watching my harmonica lessons, "Harmonica Basics 23: How to Play Blues Harmonica in Third Position." In this harmonica lessons I begin to talk about what 3rd position is. Then I teach how to play a harmonica blues lick (The "quintessential blues lick") in 3rd position.
Here are the blues harmonica tabs in C:
6- 6-(h) 5- 4-
Then I teach the beginning of the how to play the minor pentatonic harmonica notes or "blues" scale:
Ascending: 4- 5- 6+ 6-(H) 6-
Descending: 6- 6-(H) 6+ 5- 4-
