Vanessa Murrell from DATEAGLE ART interviews artist Nana Wolke about her first solo exhibition at NıCOLETTı, London, "Wanda’s". The show featured a collection of new paintings and a film installation, all of which were inspired by Wolke's examination of the Westway Roundabout in North Kensington, London. For this project, the artist collaborated with taxi drivers, actors, and performers to create a series of live performances in the adjacent car park and football pitch. As a result, the artworks weave observations of daily rituals with scripted fiction to explore conceptions of time and desire in relation to experiencing transitory spaces (and observing the scheduled and rehearsed activities found in them).
