A motion sensing bulb that uses a radar style of motion detection technology instead of a traditional PIR sensor.
This bulb from Firefly is perfect as a security light and much easier to install compared to a spotlight with PIR sensor and other traditional security lighting.
The bulb is rated at 10W and according to the documentation, outputs
800 lumens. This produces more than enough light for security uses and for warehouse or other commercial uses. It could potentially be used in a bathroom to turn on automatically at night, although it might be too bright for that.
These bulbs are often referred to as microwave doppler lamps or radar bulbs and sometimes infrared motion detection bulbs. Although they go by a lot of names, the technique used between them is pretty much the same and is different from the older style bulbs that use passive infrared sensors.
