We are a team of students from the Center for Quantum Information, Communication and Computing (CQuICC) of IIT Madras: https://quantum.iitm.ac.in/
We describe and present our work on building a Coherent Ising Machine (CIM) based on an optoelectronic oscillator. This machine can be used to solve arbitrary max cut problems with high accuracy in a short time. This is a great heuristic for solving these problems. Since many useful industrial and commercial applications can be mapped to max cut problems, this a very practical problem to solve.
