My personal take on LEGO:
LEGO is one of the first building blocks of a child´s imagination, and one of the final frontiers to save them from their screens.
Even the smallest pieces can build the future...one brick at a time.
I am also proposing a house without a car, as in the next decade we expect cars to be self-driven, so you could choose not to have your own vehicle (they will be available 24/7 on the road).
The school bus and the car are self-driven electric vehicles on a self-driven lane with a wireless electric charger on the side.
Natural lighting enters via the big roof window (almost negating the need for interior lighting during the day). All other windows can also be Transparent Solar Panels.
The roof is designed to show how the house is cooled via the solar modules (absorb heat), the garden + farming (absorb and use heat), and the white paint (reflects heat, which causes less warmth to be absorbed by the house).
The house is designed to produce its own Food, Water, and Energy. It can be considered a "Net Zero Plus" House (it produces more energy than it consumes).
The sooner we start learning and understanding about sustainability and renewable energy, the better for us. Awareness is critical, and this LEGO set aims to create a learning/educational experience for kids and adults alike.
The best way for kids to learn is by playing.
This concept and design have also been approved by the quality control department run by my daughter (7) and my son (8). 😉
