Signal from Asgard presents: The Return of Angrboda's Children
Three children marked by fear, exiled and imprisoned before they'd done any wrong. The gods called them monsters and treated them accordingly. At Ragnarok, the bindings burned. Fenrir walked free across Vigrid's plain, seeking the one who'd forged his chains. Jormungandr loosed his tail from his teeth, and the world's circle broke—oceans rose, venom misted the sky, the living boundary collapsed. Hel's armies of the forgotten dead, those who'd earned no glory but they rode to battle all the same. Three children cast away, three returned.
Fenrir's jaws closed on Odin and so fell the King of Gods. Thor crushed Jormungandr's skull, then took nine poison-filled steps and fell dead and so fell the Thunderer. Hel's armies fought the chosen slain and so fell the warriors of Valhalla. The prophecy fulfilled—not because it had to, but because the gods made it true by fearing it. They cast the serpent, bound the wolf, exiled the daughter, and forged the very doom they tried to prevent.

LYRICS:
Odin came when they were young
Before their names had yet been sung
Not for deeds nor broken law
But for futures yet to draw
Serpent cast to the sea
Wolf was bound who might be free
Daughter thrown to the mist
Every fear became a fist
Fenrir fed within their wall
Trust wore thin, then ceased to fall
Jormungandr cast below
Coiled the world in silent woe
Hel was cast to Niflheim
Given throne she never claimed
Three children marked by prophecy
Gods forged what they feared to be
Years like rivers, cold and slow
Wolf in chain and serpent low
Hel beneath the root and stone
All three waiting, all alone
Then Gjallarhorn crack the sky
Sun and moon begin to die
Day was eaten, night set free
Stars went out by prophecy
No chain remained, no law held fast
Years of binding burned to past
Fenrir walked the battle plain
Seeking him who forged the chain
In the sea the silence broke
World-coil stirred, the deep awoke
Tail unbitten, circle torn
The edge released what gods had sworn
Ocean rose high and land was drowned
Venom misted sky and ground
Jormungandr climbed from foam
World’s own wall came crawling home
Beside the wolf the serpent ran
Poison breathing over man
Sky turn green with toxic breath
Ocean's keeper bringing death
Below the roots where Hel held sway
The quiet dead rose pale and grey
Not slain in glory, not in song
The overlooked marched deep and long
Naglfar, the ship of nail
Built from corpses, set to sail
Death stand tall upon the prow
Forgotten lives remembered now
Not the brave and chosen slain
But those who worn by age and pain
No blade, no song, no honored name
Yet they came all just the same
On Vígríðr's torn and burning ground
Fenrir found who bound him down
Odin stood with spear in hand
Facing judgment’s final stand
Fenrir took what fear had fed
Turned the king of gods to dead
Not hate, nor hunger sealed his fate
But choice made long before the gate
Thor struck true; the serpent fell
Victory rang like funeral bell
Jormungandr fall and die
But venom rain from broken sky
One step, two—his strength ran dry
Three, four—poison filled his eye
Five, six—world began to dim
Seven, eight, nine—the end took him
Nine steps carried from the slain
Thunder fell like shattered rain
Serpent slain but victor too
Both fulfill what Norns once knew
Wolf devour king of gods
Serpent poison earth and sod
Hel's army fight the chosen slain
All three children stake their claim
This was rage. This was hate.
This was balance. This was fate.
What the gods denied and chained
Returned as law, returned as flame
They cast the serpent to the deep
Bound the wolf—made him weep
Threw the daughter into cold
And forged the end that was foretold
Every chain became a seed
Every exile fed the need
Fear wrote law and called it fate
Built the doom it tried to wait
Prophecy was not the doom
Fear itself became their tomb
What you cage will break away
What you cast will have its day
Three were cast while still ungrown
Three returned to claim the throne
Prophecy fulfilled at last
By the gods who forged the past
