I had an excellent days piking on the Bristol Avon on Sunday, fishing the Jack White's stretch.
The day started slowly with a small jack that came out by the weir boom but really picked up in the afternoon. I'd worked my way along 3 or so swims setting in one that looked really 'pikey': a fallen tree directly opposite and a raft of died back reeds on my right.
I had two pike out and a 5 or so missed runs! Fantastic sport and great practice (I'm a novice piker).
Can't wait for a return after Christmas ;)
