Starting My Roman Empire the Right Way | Ep 01 – Anno 117

Welcome to Episode 01 of my Complete Anno 117: Pax Romana Let’s Play.
In this opening chapter, we lay the foundations of our Roman empire by thoughtfully planning our primary island city with future aqueducts and long-term district layouts in mind.

We establish our first Libertus and Plebian neighborhoods, set up essential early production chains, and begin the bread supply in Latium using a donkey mill mod for wheat milling to better fit the pace and atmosphere of this playthrough. This episode is all about intentional city design, steady growth, and building systems that will support us well into the imperial era.

The world is generated using map seed 2892, with advanced settings and medium island sizes, giving us room to breathe, plan, and create truly distinct settlements.

The long-term goal of this series is to build beautiful, purpose-driven islands, each shaped into unique districts and dedicated to individual Roman gods and goddesses, as we rise through diplomacy from Consul toward Emperor. While this is a relaxed, immersive city-builder series, expect measured military expansion along the way as our influence grows.
