F1L Series 3 Fanatec QR1 Installation

Description
The F1L Series 3 is is a 280mm formula style wheel with integrated 3.5 inch telemetry display, 22 buttons and rotary dials, adjustable magnetic paddle shifters and full console and PC compatibility. Please note, this is the wheel only - it does not include the motorbase or direct drive system.

Fanatec Compatibility
The Series 3 wheel line is compatible with Fanatec (DD1, DD2, CSL DD, DD Pro) on PC and Playstation (Xbox is not supported). We achieved this by integrating our own electronics which emulates the Fanatec wheel electronics, enabling the Force Feedback without the need of a podium hub. You will only require the quick release from Fanatec, depending on your Fanatec wheelbase (the Fanatec quick release is not included). The F1L emulates a Fanatec Clubsport Porsche 918 RSR wheel within the Fanatec app in PC mode. Please also note that there are limitations on which buttons and dials can be mapped as the wheel offers more buttons than a standard Fanatec wheel.

Compatibility: Simagic, Moza, Simucube and more

With the F1L Series Three we created a wheel that is fully compatible with the Logitech G29/G920 and G923, while also being compatible with Simucube, Simagic, Moza (R16, R9, R5) and any other direct drive system that will accept third party PC based wheels with a 70mm standard 6 hole wheel pattern. We achieved this by integrating our own electronics which when connected to the Logitech G series wheelbase, emulates the Logitech buttons and D-Pad. When connected to a PC via our Direct Drive PC adapter with the supplied coiled cable, it becomes a USB device that is recognized as a Windows game controller.

Logitech Compatibility and Beyond

The "L" in F1L stands for Logitech highlighting the wheels ability to be fully compatible with the Logitech G29/G920, G923Xbox, G923 Playstation and the Direct Drive Pro. This means when you swap the stock round wheel for the F1L Series 3, you will have all the inputs you need to play on Playstation 4/5, Xbox and of course PC. Additionally, features such as the integrated telemetry will work independently of the system you are playing on. But we did not stop here because should you decide to upgrade to a different wheelbase, your F1L Series 3 will transition with you as it is fully compatible with many newer, direct drive systems.

Playstation and Xbox
The F1L will work on PS5 and Xbox. Depending on the Logitech wheelbase you have, choose the correct version of the F1L Series 3. Note that while the F1L has many inputs, G920 wheels have less and not all can be therefore mapped. See the gallery for which buttons are mappable (note that the G923Xbox features buttons that the G920 does not have so those will not have functions on the G920 version).

Quick Release
The Series Three is compatible with our quick release system but it is not a requirement and it is not included. Should you wish to use it with our quick release, add the S2 adapter as well as the motor mount to your order. All F1L wheels ship with a permanent connector which directly mounts the wheel onto your Logitech G29/G920/G923. If you prefer to use the F1L Series 3 as your permanent replacement to the stock Logitech round wheel you will not need anything else.

4 inch Telemetry Display
The 4 inch telemetry display is fully compatible with any game (for example Gran Turismo 7, F1, etc). that provides telemetry data via Wifi. It features the same game support as our popular stand alone Telemetry Display as well as free over the air updates and support. Due to the energy efficient design, the integrated display will not need any cable when used on a Logitech G29/G920/G923.

RGB REV LEDs and Flag LEDs
The F1L features a fully adjustable row of REV LEDs and Flag LEDs. This feature also works on the Logitech G920 as it is being controlled through our own electronics.

Button Stickers
As standard the F1L ships with a high quality vinyl, sticker sheet.

Grips and materials
One of the most important aspects of a wheel is how it feels in your hand which is why we have opted to cast the F1L grips out of durable polyurethane (60A shore scale). The ergonomic design of the grips feel soft enough for long compfortable sessions without need to wear gloves and yet give excellent grip, no matter how hard you race.
