In the days following the deadly mass shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church and School in Minneapolis, the community surrounding the school has found ways to come together.
On Tuesday, more than 200 people met at Fleet Feet Minneapolis to run from the store, along the Minnehaha Creek, to the memorial at Annunciation with teddy bears in hand.
On Wednesday, MPR News reporter Cari Spencer and video producer Anne Guttridge rode with Sarah Henning as she helped distribute materials for bows that line the streets of the community. The effort was started the day after the shooting by parents affiliated with the school and has grown as more people want to take part. You can find more information about their initiative at bowsoflove.com.
