UPDATE! | Arrest is Made in Megan Nichols Murder

PLEASE NOTE: Since posting this video, Brodey Murbarger pleaded NOT GUILTY to all six felony charges against him. He is currently being held on $3 million bond in Wayne County IL. Pre-trial court hearings are taking place via Zoom and I will be posting updates on my Instagram page about this case as more details unfold.

Megan Nichols was only 15 years old when she disappeared from her family's home on July 3, 2014. Megan left her cell phone behind, as well as a note that said she was leaving and not to look for her. Megan lived in Fairfield, IL with her mom Kathy Jo and her stepfather.

Kathy Jo immediately suspected that the 18 yr old boy that Megan had been dating may have had something do with her disappearance. That boy denied any involvement and said he had not seen Megan that day she disappeared.

On December 26, 2017, Megan's skeleton remains were found in a shallow grave on a rural farm outside of Fairfield. There were no leads in her murder, until October 7, 2020 when Brodey Ian Murbarger was arrested outside his place of business in Evansville, IN. What was Brodey's connection to Megan and why was he charged with her murder?
