🎧 For fans of: 90's nostalgia, ambient music, 90's video game music. This downtempo electronic song evokes memories of childhood. Nostalgic ambient and cinematic electronic music for reflection, deep focus, and journaling. Inspired by 90’s/2000’s childhood memories.
Childhood is a nostalgic journey, a reflection on how love transforms as we grow. At first, love feels like a fleeting emotion. But over time, it becomes something deeper. It becomes a state of being. This film is about that shift. As we get older, we begin to long for the peace and safety we felt as children, and the simple, unconditional love that shaped us.
This is a new experiment for me. A short film built around a song I wrote and produced. Thank you to everyone who shared archival footage. Your moments helped bring this story to life. Full attributions are listed below.
I'm excited to share this one. I hope it resonates.

Spoken Word Transcription
Love is, quite simply, inexplicable. Not in the sense that it is too complex to grasp, but that it eludes explanation altogether. It is not something bound by time or confined to space. It does not operate by logic or fit neatly into our tidy compartments of thought. No, love is something much older than that. It is something you know, not with the intellect, but with the whole of your being. You know it from the moment you draw breath.
Think of a mother holding her child. The child knows nothing of names, of relationships, of duty. And yet, it knows safety. Knows warmth. Knows love. A kind of primal recognition that there is something here worth trusting. As you grow, your language expands and your desires scatter in a thousand directions. You say you “love” ice cream, or the softness of a blanket on a cold morning. You fall in love with the smell of fresh-cut grass still wet with dew as sunlight spills across a summer lawn.
And in that sense, love is not a thing you have. It is the atmosphere in which you exist. It is everywhere, like air. Or perhaps more accurately, it is what connects everything.
But then, eventually, something curious happens. You fall.
Now this phrase, “falling in love,” is one of the more accurate bits of language we’ve managed to stumble upon. Because you do fall. Not in the clumsy, bruising way of tripping over something. But in the inevitable way that an apple falls from the tree. In the way a wave returns to the ocean. It is not so much an act of the will as a surrender of the self.
And this kind of love, true love if you like, is not just sentimental warmth or romantic intoxication. It is a kind of death, and a rebirth. It asks you to shed the illusion of separateness. To give up the pretense that you are alone in this vast and swirling cosmos. For in loving another, deeply and truly, you begin to see yourself. Not the self of the ego, but the self that is not separate from anything at all.
And so, to love, really love, is to remember. To come home.
