HXW, a company I hadn't heard of prior, sent me the SD201-C to check out. It's a standard five-piece electronic kit with mesh heads—a standard for most kits today.

I wasn't too impressed by the SD201-C, but I think could be a decent option for beginning to intermediate drummers.

That said. there's a few glaring issues with the kit: the mix levels are way off on certain presets (just listen to the Jazzy and Brushes presets...), there's only one line out on the module, the sounds aren't the greatest, and the rims have trouble firing depending on where you hit.

Despite the module not having the greatest sounds on earth, it does play nicely with VST instruments.

The kit should include a mesh kick tower, since it's more expensive than the Alesis Surge Mesh. Even that kit has a mesh kick tower.
