Officially welcoming US President Bill Clinton to Britain, Prime Minister Tony Blair said in London on Thursday (29/05) that the "special relationship" between the two countries had been reinforced by their meeting. The two were at a joint press conference after lunch at No. Ten Downing Street, the prime minister's official residence.

Also that a Strong Europe in Britain is best for relations with Europe. He continues that new politics are needed for a new age, with new horizons, focus and agenda. This is a generation that does not believe in isolationism, or dependence through welfare or discrimination.
