Despite Season 2's many controversies this year, Doctor Who started off with a pretty strong run of episodes with resounding fan responses. One thing that many were concerned about based off leaks and rumours was the potential follow up to the Series 4 10th Doctor adventure: Midnight. Despite myself believing this can't be true because of how incredibly that episode is because of it's detachment and isolation from real answers, sure enough, The Well brings us back to that very same planet.
The episode takes the Aliens blueprint of going bigger and more action orientated after the smaller scale horrific events of the original. A bigger team, a bigger location, more stakes, 400,000 years in the future, we return to the barren wasteland of planet once made of diamonds to uncover new horrors...
