AN UPDATE FROM ROBERT'S COUSIN PHILLIP!
AND IN ROBERT'S OWN WORDS
This is my new plan for my journey. My cousins and I did some research. I can avoid Victoria and the fires altogether, by taking the northern route from South Australia via the Barrier Highway and then connecting east to the Sturt Highway and Hume Highway towards Wagga Wagga, New South Wales , effectively going through Broken Hill and West Wyalong, which keeps me in New South Wales for most of my journey after leaving South Australia. I'll cross the Murray River into New South Wales near Wentworth before heading towards Wagga Wagga, New South Wales. So I'm setting off again on my journey tomorrow morning, as long as it is safe to do so.
