I was fortunate enough to be able to find a more modern lip seal and filler block for a 1953 Kaiser. I was able to find both through some fellow Kaiser enthusiasts, but look at all Kaiser and Jeep/Willys parts resources for yourself.
What I found out later was the lip seal filler block was from an NOS military parts kit for a AMC Tornado 230.
In hindsight, the only way I see the Felpro BS1280 working is if your are removing the crankshaft for an engine rebuild. Not usable to service a rear main seal in vehicle. I’ve seen thinner rope seals available from some Jeep and Willy’s restoration websites - might be worth looking into.
