I wanted make this more of a educational demo with all the steps that you'll go through in making a lidded box for a beginner through to experienced turners and to share the process that I do with you all.
Details of this piece
I turned this lidded box from New Zealand Black Marie that's related to olive wood. I added a textured
a detail to the top and bottom of the lid and burnt three detail lines where the lid meets the vessel.
The Finish
This is finished with medium CA glue and my company made wood conditioner paste wax on the inside and a 30% shine polyurethane on the outside.
Sorry about the sound and cutting of clips next one will be a lot better.
