Some Bad News - Ultimate Level Builder

Unfortunately I’ve got some bad news.

A few days ago, my hosting provider for the Ultimate Level Builder servers suddenly migrated the server to a new system without warning. This caused many files on the server to be lost during the transfer. You may have noticed that the server has been down, and this is why. The lost files do include a lot of the levels that have been uploaded, and all of the world maps are gone too. There is supposed to be an automatic backup, but the backup is not working. I have contacted the provider about restoring the server’s files, but I haven’t heard back in a couple of days so it’s not looking good. Before this happened, there were around 250,000 levels uploaded. Now it is down to around 170,000 levels.

I do have a plan for recovering as many of the lost levels and worlds as possible. I will soon release a quick update to the game, probably in a couple of days. This update will enable previously uploaded levels that you have stored on your device to be uploaded again if they were lost. You’ll know when the update has been released by its new version number, 1.5.0-D. All you have to do to restore any lost levels is try to access the online server once while connected to the internet. Any lost levels will automatically be re-uploaded. This will only work after the game has updated to 1.5.0-D. This means that any levels or worlds you still have on your device will not be lost since they can be uploaded again. I encourage you to access the online levels with the new update even if you don’t play the game much, so as many levels and worlds can be saved as possible.

I’m sorry that I couldn’t save all of the levels. I trusted the automatic backup, which was a mistake. In the future I will prevent this by making my own separate backups onto my own storage, in addition to the automatic backups.

It has also been a while since I revealed any new information about future updates to the game. I have been working on something much bigger than any previous update, but I’m not quite ready to show it yet. But I am excited for what will be possible in the future, and for the game to grow even bigger. I'm hoping I can reveal it soon. Thank you for waiting, and sorry about the lack of updates.
