Narrated Scuba Dive – Gortein Point, Loch Fyne, Scotland.
A shake down scuba dive to plumose anemone covered rocky reef at Gortein Point in Loch Fyne on the West coast of Scotland. It will be an equipment check out dive using a Guardian FFM from Ocean Technology Systems (OTS) with an audio recorder in this sheltered sea loch. Follow me as I investigate some of the rock outcrops and give a sense of the marine ecology present at this site, especially the Plumose anemones that cover “The Wee Reef”. The OTS Guardian full face mask allows me narrate and react to what I feel and see in the moment.

The water in late spring early summer is still quite cold in these temperate waters at around 7ºC/45ºF requiring the use of a drysuit.

As you can see in the video my regulator and hoses had several minor leaks. The regulator was put in for service after reviewing the video.
