Sam Garrett - On My Way (Lyric Video)

Greetings family, this is a very special song for me and one I wrote for my daughter whilst I was in England during lockdown and couldn’t get back to Portugal to see my daughter for her birthday. After feeling a range of emotions I surrendered and picked up my guitar and started to sing “I’m on my way”.

The song is an expression of hope in times of hardship. It was my way of remaining open to life in this challenging moment and staying positive knowing that I would get back to her in the perfect time.

This is my favourite song on the album because it feels like the most uplifting and celebratory song despite the situation it came from.

My guru said “the problem is never the situation but our attitude towards it.”

Ultimately we all face difficult situations in life but we can change them by realising that life isn’t against us but for us and we can grow in humility, compassion and love through it all.
