Wind against tide can provide a short chop which actually feels like fun with the sun out and a bit of warmth, and I do keep banging on at how well mannered these FISA coastal boats handle tricky sea conditions.
Here's a comparison between going down wind and against tide, and upwind but with the tide in F5-6, 20-25 knots.
This early evening session was a 60 minute steady state piece at Zone 2/ UT1, around 75% max heart rate... difficult (and failed) to hold this down going into the wind and waves as the inclination is to push on to make progress...
