I find this entire situation troubling and fascinating at the same time. Troubling, since I believe this is a true erasure of people's creative voice in an era where a multiplicity of voices are supposed to be accepted. Fascinating, because this whole situation shows how easily pride and some sort of moral superiority leads to (and attempts to justify) said erasure. I look at this from the standpoint of a ghostwriter, another kind of creative that is hired to recreate or bring to life the client's "voice", regardless of our personal feelings on the matter.
