PIT is a leading technical institute offering Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes in several streams of Engineering, Management and Pharmacy. This is the oldest institute of Uttar Pradesh which has been established in 2002 by Prasad Educational Trust with an aim to impart excellent technical education in the field of engineering, technology, pharmacy & management. The institute insists on developing students into efficient technocrats in their selected pursuits by guiding them to build their insights abilities and way of right thinking. It is a major breakthrough in a highly dense and technically backward region of eastern UP.

The aim of the institute is to make the region competitive with other parts of the country by contributing to better socio-economic growth. The institute is situated on the bank of river Gomti, 5 km away from Jaunpur city on Azamgarh Road and is spread over an area of 40 Acre. Jaunpur is 60 km from Varanasi and 100 km from Allahabad. It is well connected to other parts of the country by road, rail and air. A campus with over 1500 students, coached by highly distinguished faculty using the latest teaching aids, excellent hostel facilities, and a vision that drives us to ensure imparting wholesome technical education to our students, is what sets us apart from the run-of-the-mill engineering institutes spread all over the country.
