What might you get if you mix David Byrne, Joy Division, The Fall, Rage Against The Machine and Tom Waits? Well, you just might end up with a band as awesome as New Ceremony.

New Ceremony are a Galway four-piece with a hypnotic post-punk sound. We are delighted to share their Booley Session with you, an utterly mesmerising performance from start to finish. A New Ceremony for a new year. We think 2022 is going to be a big one for these gents!

The Booley Sessions are a series of short concert films curated and produced by The Black Gate in a stunning new space on Eglington Street in Galway city.

We are delighted to showcase the music of twelve exceptional Galway artists and are especially grateful to our neighbours at Booley for allowing us to record in their beautiful loft. At a time when the live music industry faces yet another deeply challenging period of restrictions and uncertainty, we hope that these concerts can provide a little bit of comfort and joy to you all.
