Monica Sementilli’s defense attorney cross examines Christopher Austin, who took part in killing Monica’s husband, Fabio, in January 2017. Mr. Levine focuses much of his questioning on the conversation that Austin had in his holding cell with an undercover agent after his arrest and tries to divert responsibility of the murder away from Monica. He also highlights Austin’s plea deal as motivation to lie about Monica’s involvement.

Summary of the Case: #MonicaSementilli is charged with conspiring to murder her husband of almost 20 years, #FabioSementilli, a famed Hollywood hairdresser. Monica had been living a double life, carrying on a steamy affair with a man named #RobertBaker when the 2017 stabbing death occurred while Fabio was relaxing on his back deck. Baker himself, along with another man, Chris Austin, were responsible for carrying out the brutal attack. Baker pled no contest to the charges of 1st degree murder & conspiracy in 2023 and is serving life. Austin was arrested late last year and plead guilty just earlier this month (Jan 2025) – He will be testifying in exchange for a 16-year-to-life prison sentence.
