One-Coat Paints: Speedpainting WWII Soviet Infantry [How I Paint Things]

When most gamers think of Soviet forces in WWII, there's one thing that comes to mind: lots, and lots of infantry. Now, that needn't always be the base, but for games like Bolt Action or Chain of Command, having extra bodies to throw on the table doesn't hurt! Options are always a good thing. So whether you're looking to paint reinforcements as quickly as possible or want to surprise a gaming buddy with an unexpected new army, one-coat paints like Contrast, Xpress, and Speedpaints to the rescue!

PRIMERS: Wraithbone (Citadel Primer Spray)

CITADEL:
Guilliman Flesh (Contrast)
Aggaros Dunes (Contrast)
Gryph-Charger Grey (Contrast)

Brownish Decay (Speedpaint)
Strong Tone (Wash)

BASING:

Apply a layer of PVA then sand, and once it's dry drench with a dark brown paint - I've used a craft paint from Müller here, for your bases it doesn't matter all that much. Drybrush with something like Vallejo Dark Sand, then apply patches of PVA and static grass. Finish with a couple of tufts, I've used Mountain Tufts from Army Painter.
