CONSECRATION - A Coventry Elim Production
In the silence l hear a voice, a faint whisper in the wind,
From the crowd it calls me, away from the noise and the din.
"Set apart," I hear it say,
Leaving me to ponder just what sacred door I am to walk through next.
In the clanging of life's chaos, I hear it still, a gentle voice,
A calling that awakens me, a calling for much more.
A life rearranged and a heart restored,
I take a step forward, willing to leave the old behind.
Withholding nothing, I respond to the call to lay everything down,
Like a stream erases dirt from the shore,
so are impurities swept away,
Lost in the cleansing waves of grace.
So l arise now filled with purpose, with a heart set ablaze,
Changed not just in word, but in action and deed,
Prepared to step into a life of consecration and devotion,
For Your holiness alone.
