Parks on the Air: A great day for DX! Activating Bear Mountain (US-2010)

Hello! My name is Mikey, WD0OM, and I like to talk about ham radio! Most of the time, I'm doing Parks on the Air (POTA).

This leg of my trip finds me staying at the lovely Bear Mountain State Park, US-2010 (https://pota.app/#/park/US-2010), in New York, a spot roughly equidistant between two sets of friends I visited on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. I took @outnaboot Stuart's advice and called CQ without explicitly calling CQ POTA, on 10 meters, which was ripe for DX! 10 was long, and nearly everyone I talked to was in Europe! This was easily the most DX I've gotten in any single sitting.

(And yes, I know, vertical format isn't great; we're almost to the end of the series of vertical videos!)

By the way, I've been using World Radio League @WorldRadioLeague almost exclusively since I began the road trip this series is covering.
