When Miles Killebrew saw the model change lives in Dallas, he sought the backup of his team, the Steelers, to help bring it to Pittsburgh — ensuring local youth could access the same wraparound support and real opportunities to grow.

At Cafe Momentum Pittsburgh, young people earn paid work experience in a full-service restaurant while also receiving mentorship, mental-health care, academic support, and the structure needed to build toward their goals. From day one, Steelers players have been in the kitchen beside them: getting to know the interns, modeling accountability, and amplifying a model that works.
