We've been having a heatwave here in the UK so would be rude not to take the boat out for the day.
Loaded up with food and drinks in the electric cool box we set off from Redcliffe Farm slipway again for a gentle cruise up the frome into the harbour and navigated our way to Brownsea Island. We passed some very expensive looking boats in the quiet area by the island passing them so we could anchor up in much more shallow waters.
One of the best things about having a smaller boat is you can get inshore in as little as 2ft of water , where its safer for the kids and can be left while you chill on the beach without worry its going to drift off
We took the new paddle board with us so had a few hours of beach time and paddle boarding. It was great to cool off in the sea during this very hot spell of weather we have been having before heading back
