I Tested CHEAP vs COSTLY Fragrance Oils! (my soap seized)

Fragrance oils for cold processed soap are essential to the soap maker, but they can be expensive – even the cheap ones! I wanted to test whether or not the price tag was justified, and made two separate batches of homemade cold processed soap with the cheapest and most expensive fragrances.

The fragrance oils in question are supplied by one of the most well-known fragrance oil suppliers in North America for soap makers: Wholesale Supplies Plus! Incidentally, the two fragrances I bought were coconut fragrances. So... why was there such a huge price difference between them?

That's one of the mysteries I solve in the video! In addition, BOTH of these fragrance oils caused major ricing and acceleration in my soap batter. There were some properties about the fragrance oils that lead me to conclude that the price difference is definitely.... (you'll need to watch to find out 😊)

I get all of my soap micas and colourants from Voyageur Soap and Candle, which is a soap and candle supply shop based in Vancouver.
