When René Segura started feeling ill, his wife Tracy Segura implored him to go to the hospital.

Although he'd been to a COVID-19 assessment centre and was told he had a cold, he heeded his wife's advice. Soon he was in the hospital with COVID-19 — intubated and fighting for his life.
