Today I'd like to share with you a timelapse video showing the entire process of me painting a portrait of my friend Mike, a veteran, and his brother.

He commissioned me to paint this for him earlier this year, and gave it to his brother as a belated Christmas gift. 

In this video, I'll show you:
-How to begin using translucent glazes, and building up shading and depth. 
-How to do lettering on clothing.
-You'll see how to balance warm and cool skin tones 
-How to detail everything at the end, for a realistic painting that glows!
